HDR Photography

Here's my first attempt at HDR photography.  I find it intriguing.  I've seen a lot of really awesome images processed this way.  Sometimes they can come out a little cartoony and other times they can come out more realistic.  Either way, it's an art form in itself.  If you're unfamiliar with it, it involves merging 3 pictures of the same scene.  One properly exposed, one over exposed by 2 stops and one under exposed by 2 stops.  It's a fairly easy process if you have the software.  If have not bought it yet, that's why there are watermarks on the after picture.

Bokeh!

What a fun technique! I will be playing with this a lot more in the future!

This is a picture of blurry Christmas lights completely unedited.  If you cut out a shape from a card or piece of paper and then put it in front of your lens, it will turn all the blurry lights into that shape!  You'll have to play with it a little to get the right size.  It's a lot of fun!  I'm going to try different shapes as well!  There are many tutorials on youtube if you search for 'bokeh photography'.  Try it out!  It's really cool!
